Rollable Dice Box

This is probably one of my favourite prints yet. What you have is a central core with a screw on lid. This will hold all sorts and is about 175mm tall excluding the lid. It has 6 trays with hexagonal indents, each indent holding one dice so 42 dice in total. The trays are all hinged together and can be detached from the core. Once you slide the core onto the end tray, the whole thing can be rolled up and is held closed by 4 pairs of 6mm magnets.

In the video below you can see how the core slots into the trays and is then folded together.

One of the luxuries of the printer that this was printed on is it’s ability to easily print multiple colours. This one has the first 2mm of each component printed in a matte blue filament with the other layers printed in a vibrant orange. All parts were printed face down on a textured be which gives the outer surfaces a really nice finish.
