Trim For Recessed GU10 Light Fittings
In the bathroom and loo in our house, recessed lights had been fitted before we moved it. The problem was that the holes were cut almost the same size as the light fittings. There was a tiny bit to play with but you could still see the edges. I hunted for ages to find bigger lights only to discover that in 2 cases the holes were right up against joists so that was a non-starter.
Literally 10 minutes in Tinkercad and I had these little trims ready to 3D print. They take minutes to print and they fixed a problem that I’d been scratching my head over for ages.
I think this was one of the first things I designed and 3D printed that solved a problem. It’s very easy to download “stuff” and fill your house with fairly useless bits of 3D printed rubbish. Once you start looking at 3D printing as a way to solve problems then things change.
